FHWA Seeking Director, Office of Human Resources

The Federal Highway Administration is currently seeking candidates for a Director, Office of Human Resources. The position is located at FHWA's headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The successful candidate will lead and direct the HR office staff of just under 100 people, both at headquarters and in two satellite offices, in administering an $8.6 million HR program for the 3,000 FHWA employees in 62 locations across the country. The HR director will lead in developing policies and programs that advance federal government, FHWA, and U.S. Department of Transportation corporate capacity goals and objectives in hiring, performance management, workforce planning, employee development, diversity, and program accountability. Finally, the incumbent will work with FHWA partners and stakeholders to develop and coordinate national transportation work force programs and initiatives.
