AASHTO Seeking Transportation Engineering Fellowship Applicants 

AASHTO is now accepting applications from state transportation department personnel for a one-year transportation engineering fellowship at the headquarters office in Washington, D.C.

Applicants will have the potential to work on such projects as:

  • the development and update of AASHTO's technical standards, such as the Green Book, Roadside Design Guide, and Bicycle Guide;
  • organizing national meetings and conferences by providing assistance to AASHTO committee officers; and
  • participating in AASHTO committee meetings around the country; and assisting in the development of national policy on transportation operations and project delivery.

The successful candidate may also work with a variety of technical committees in the production of engineering and operations-related professional publications, and will respond to technical inquiries on AASHTO publications and policies.

A bachelors of science degree in engineering is required, as well as 8 to 15 years experience, preferably with a state department of transportation. Further position details are available online.
