The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials kicked off its 2012 Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh this week, bringing together hundreds of transportation experts from all over the country.
The meeting, which will continue through Monday, Nov. 19, focuses on the future of transportation with the theme "Where Rivers Converge to Forge Leaders." The meeting features technical and transportation policy sessions as well as a collection of educational sessions that focus on innovation and sharing best practices, brought to attendees by the top experts in transportation financing, engineering, and construction. On-site registration is still available for the meeting up through the last day.
Coverage of many of the meeting's sessions will appear in a special edition of the AASHTO Journal Wednesday, Nov. 21. Please be aware next week's early edition is a change from the usual Friday distribution. The AASHTO Journal will return to its regular Friday distribution schedule the week of Nov. 26.
