The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) today announced the following new travel advisories. Also included are other significant restrictions impacting travel this week. For the full statewide traffic report, visit our Travel Advisories website. INTERSTATE HIGHWAY RESTRICTIONS
WEEKDAY

Cumberland: I-295 North and South, between Exit 10 (Rte. 122/Mendon Rd.) and Exit 11 (Rte. 114/Diamond Hill Rd.), left lane closed for survey work, Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Providence: I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), ramp narrowed for concrete placement, Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Expect delays.

WEEKDAY

South Kingstown: Rte. 1A North and South, from Holley St. to High St., shoulder closures possible in a moving operation for sign installation, Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
South Kingstown: Middlebridge Rd. North and South, from Bridgetown Rd. to Radial Dr., and from Pine Ct. to Lafayette Ave., shoulder closures possible in a moving operation for sign installation, Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

INTERSTATE HIGHWAY RESTRICTIONS
OVERNIGHT

Providence: I-95 South, from Exit 23 (Charles St.) to Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), two left lanes closed for construction, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
WEEKDAY

Cranston, Johnston and Cumberland: Be mindful of possible lane closures in the breakdown lane for survey work at the following locations, Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: I-295 North and South, just before and after Exit 4 (Rte. 14), including the ramps; and on I-295 North and South, between Exit 10 (Rte. 122/Mendon Rd.) and Exit 11 (Rte. 114/Diamond Hill Rd.)

OTHER LIMITED ACCESS HIGHWAY RESTRICTIONS
CONTINUING

East Greenwich: Rte. 4 North and South under Rte. 2 (South County Trail), right shoulder closures for bridge work through mid-January 2017.
Providence: Truck traffic is restricted to the right lane from the Westminster St. overpass over Rte. 10 South/Rte. 6 West to the Rte. 6/Rte. 10 interchange, and on Rte. 6 East at the Rte. 6/Rte. 10 interchange.

Newport County
NEW TRAVEL RESTRICTION
 
Newport: As the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) prepares for construction work at the Newport Transportation and Visitors Center, motorists will experience road work and a right lane closure on America's Cup Ave., from Gladys Carr Bolhouse Rd. to West Marlborough St., through June 2017.  RIPTA has designated temporary bus stop locations along America's Cup Avenue since the Visitors' Center boarding area will be closed for the duration of the project.  Click here for more information.
