February 17, 2017 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Lori Ryan, Public Information Officer, (406) 444-6821, Montana Department of Transportation Proposes Resurfacing Project on Highway 93 through Rollins in Lake County Rollins - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to seal and cover about 8 miles of Highway 93 in Lake County. The project begins approximately 2 miles south of Rollins at reference post 85 and extends north for 8 miles, ending near West Shore State Park at reference post 93. Proposed work includes a seal and cover (chip seal) and upgraded pavement markings. The purpose of the project is to take a cost-effective action to prolong and preserve the existing pavement. The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2019, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations will be needed.
