DeKalb and Fulton Counties…

Daytime and Nighttime Lane Closures Planned on SR 400 for Transform 285/400 Improvement Project



What:         Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will close lanes on SR 400 for geotechnical site investigation.


When:        Sunday, February 19, 8 p.m. to Monday, February 20, 6 a.m.

One right lane will close on SR 400 northbound between Hammond Drive and Mount Vernon Highway.


Monday, February 20 through Friday, February 24, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Periodic and temporary traffic control through flagging to allow work vehicles to enter and exit the roadway on the Abernathy Road on-ramp to SR 400 both northbound and southbound.


Tuesday, February 21 through Thursday, February 23, nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

One right lane will close on SR 400 southbound between Abernathy Road and Hammond Drive. A section of the SR 400 southbound exit ramp to Hammond Drive will also close.



Advisory:    Exact dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
